New Delhi, October 2025 – In a strong validation of India’s growing digital entertainment ecosystem, Rusk Media, the Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha – focused content powerhouse, has raised ₹103 crore (US$12.3 million) in its Series B round to fuel global expansion and strengthen its original IP portfolio.
The round was led by IvyCap Ventures, with participation from LC Nueva, InfoEdge Ventures, Woori Venture Partners, and Rusk’s existing promoters alongside a few family offices. The funding includes both primary capital infusion and secondary transactions, signaling continued investor confidence in the company’s growth trajectory.
Expanding Beyond Borders
With this fresh capital, Rusk Media plans to scale its IPs globally and build newer content formats for international audiences across the US, Europe, and EMEA markets. The company will also strengthen its production technology stack, enhance its data-driven storytelling approach, and expand its distribution network.
“This round marks the beginning of our next chapter – building globally relevant IPs rooted in Indian creativity,” said a Rusk Media spokesperson. “Our goal is to take Indian youth entertainment to a global stage.”
From Digital Roots to a Full-Stack Content Studio
Rusk Media has established itself as one of India’s most innovative digital entertainment companies creating content for Gen Z and Gen Alpha. The startup owns and operates a full-stack content ecosystem – spanning ideation, production, distribution, and monetization.
Its original slate includes youth-centric hits such as School Friends, Couple Goals, Heartbeats, Dude, Date with Senior, Delhi vs Mumbai, and Roomies (three seasons).
Rusk’s content currently reaches audiences across 40+ social media channels on YouTube, Meta, and Snapchat, while its B2B tech platform Rumble and consumer app Alright collectively generate nearly one billion monthly views.
Strengthening IP Ownership
One of Rusk Media’s key differentiators lies in its focus on IP ownership – allowing the company to retain creative control, build long-term monetization streams, and license its content internationally.
By investing in AI-powered production tools and data-backed content decisions, Rusk aims to improve efficiency and scale output without compromising storytelling quality.
Backed by Leading Investors
The latest funding round builds on Rusk’s growing credibility within India’s media startup ecosystem. IvyCap Ventures, which led the round, expressed confidence in Rusk’s ability to capture the next wave of digital-first audiences.
“Rusk Media is redefining how content connects with younger audiences,” said a partner at IvyCap Ventures. “Their ability to blend creativity with analytics gives them a unique edge, both in India and internationally.”
Riding the Global Wave of Indian Content
As Indian stories gain momentum globally – from streaming platforms to short-form social video — Rusk Media is well positioned to be at the forefront of this wave. The company’s global expansion strategy focuses on collaborations, localization, and licensing in key international markets.
Industry observers note that the move aligns with a broader trend of Indian digital IPs going global, fueled by strong storytelling, cross-cultural appeal, and scalable tech infrastructure.
Looking Ahead
With ₹103 crore in fresh capital and a clear roadmap for global growth, Rusk Media is set to transform from a digital-first content creator into a global youth entertainment brand.
Its bet on data-driven creativity, IP ownership, and platform diversification could make it one of India’s most exciting media tech success stories.
