Online tax and fintech platform Clear (formerly known as Clear Tax) recently announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a series of prominent veterans of the engineering industry including Chief Product Officer at Rohinhood Aparna Chennapragada, the CFO of Coinbase Surojit Chatterjee along with Balaji Srinivasan and Andreesen Horowitz under individual capacities.
The company CEO at Clear revealed that the investment from these star-studded individuals comes as a significant endorsement for the startup and the transformation that the company has gone through in the past one year to expand into global markets.

Founded in 2011 by Archit Gupta, Raja Ram Gupta, Srivatsan Tiwari and Ankit Solanki, Clear is a SaaS based startup which allows its clients to file income tax returns and build wealth through investments in mutual funds. Furthermore, the platform also helps corporates to pay their GST bills, create invoices and pay any additional bills digitally. It also provides its software to over a million small and medium businesses (SMBs) helping them file their GST, and allowing them to plan their taxes, while providing payment reconciliation support.
In a significant funding round last year in October, Clear raised $75 million as a part of its Series C fundraise led by Kora Capital. Stripe, Alua Capital, and Think Investments participated in that round. That round of funding valued Clear at around $700 million, a person aware of the talks told Mint then.
