During an interview, Amit Marwah, Nokia India’s chief marketing officer, stated that “the company has held a dominant role in private networks worldwide with over 500 deployments globally. He also remarked that this business is expanding rapidly, and they observe a similar pattern in India”.

According to Marwah, the initial private networks are anticipated to begin operating in the next two quarters, mainly in the transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, and utilities sectors, which are expected to receive the majority of enterprise investments.

The government has not yet determined the plan for distributing 5G spectrum to businesses for 5G private networks through administrative allotment. To achieve this, they must decide on the frequency bands and pricing of the airwaves that will be distributed outside of an auction.
