An ever-increasing demand for renewable energy sources has spawned new technologies, paving the door for a surge in cleantech investments. Investments in ESG, Impact, Clean & Green-tech have increased as their adoption has shifted more towards popular and large-scale use. JPIN held a CleanTech for a Sustainable Tomorrow pitch day to assist the sector’s expansion and growth as well as the worldwide transition. The event provided a venue for Cleantech startups to gain access to venture capital networks and establish major connections, allowing them to develop their enterprises to global levels.
Nearly 40 investors from across the world attended the Pitch Day, which included 12 seed to Series A CleanTech deals, six from India and six from around the world, with a total valuation of more than $250 million. Over 200 applications were shortlisted through competition, due investigation, and assessment, alongside industry leaders and VCs such as Cambridge Cleantech and UK government programs such as Act4Green II. These companies came in with a $17 million pre-commitment prior to the pitch day, backed by venture investors and with a global clientele. JPIN hopes to raise a fund of USD 50 million through this pitch day, including co-investments from top oil and gas firms in the United Kingdom and the United States.
