Zypp Electric to Roll Out 10,000 E-Scooters in Bengaluru and Hire 5,000 Delivery Executives

Zypp Electric, an electric mobility startup, is set to roll out 10,000 electric scooters in Bengaluru over the next two months, with 2,000 e-scooters already in operation. The deployment of the remaining 8,000 vehicles is part of Zypp Electric’s plan to expand its services to 30 cities across India and increase its fleet size to 2-lakh e-scooters by 2025.
Zypp Electric has recently recruited 2,000 delivery executives in Karnataka’s capital city, and plans to employ an additional 5,000 over the next two months. The electric mobility startup aims to facilitate efficient last-mile delivery and create employment opportunities in the gig economy.
Zypp Electric’s Co-founder and CBO, Rashi Agarwal, stated that the company’s goal is to offer cost-effective and eco-friendly last-mile logistics solutions to businesses, as it deploys 2,000 e-scooters in Bengaluru. The electric mobility startup also plans to establish more than 100 Gorogro battery swapping stations at its Bengaluru hubs within the next 12-18 months, significantly improving the city’s EV ecosystem.
Zypp Electric’s Co-founder and CBO, Rashi Agarwal, mentioned that the company sees a strategic opportunity to expand its services in Bengaluru, following the successful operations in Delhi NCR. By expanding its electric fleet, the startup aims to promote eco-friendly logistics for businesses and create job opportunities in the gig economy. Agarwal emphasized that this initiative would benefit partners by reducing costs while increasing employment opportunities.
