Tata AIG hires Anjani Kumar as Chief Technology Officer

Anjani Kumar joins Tata AIG as Chief Technology Officer with 24 years of experience in digital business transformation and technology. He has worked in diversified industries such as IT consulting, logistics, pharma, automobile and telecom industries. Kumar will drive the company’s digital agenda across B2C, B2B and hybrid global enterprises.
Before joining Tata AIG, Anjani Kumar served as the CIO at Strides, where he led the “Path2Digital” program to drive the company’s digital transformation. Kumar has also held various roles in strategy and operations at Nissan, Strides, and Safexpress, as well as managed P&L for products and services at IBM and Collabera.
Jitesh Bawa, Tata AIG’s CHRO, stated that Kumar’s appointment as CTO is timely, as the company undergoes a digital business transformation. Bawa believes Kumar’s experience will be invaluable in advancing Tata AIG’s technology capabilities and improving customer experiences. Kumar holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, and a Postgraduate Executive Management Program in Marketing and Management from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
