Special Treatment To Tesla Is Not In India’s Best Interest : Ola’s Bhavish Aggarwal

Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has said that conceding unique treatment to Elon Musk’s Tesla to come to India isn’t in the best interest of the country as the government attempts to speed up the development of the local organizations in the electric vehicle area.

Aggarwal commented, “Tesla is free to come in and put here and sell its cars. They just want to be treated differently from others, which I believe is not in the interests of India”.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has shown interest in growing his electric vehicle business in India a few times, but on a conditional basis. Thus, the Indian government has likewise given a cool reaction to the tycoon.

Notwithstanding, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has said that Musk was free to make e-vehicles in India. Gadkari has been reported saying, “It is a very easy alternative; if Elon Musk is ready to manufacture a Tesla in India, there is no problem. We have got all competencies, the vendors are available. We have got all types of technology and because of that, he can reduce the cost.”

As of late, implying that Tesla won’t put an assembling plant in India, Musk tweeted that until the organization is first permitted to sell and service imported vehicles in India, there will be no setting up of the bases.
