Singapore-based Jungle Ventures has announced the integration of the HealthXCapital (HXC) team to spearhead the firm’s healthcare investments in India and Southeast Asia.
With this development, HealthXCapital, which has previously invested in startups like Red Health (formerly known as StanPlus), Medfin, and THB, will now become part of Jungle Ventures’ portfolio. Jungle Ventures is currently operating from its fourth fund, which possesses a substantial corpus of $600 million.
Seemant Jauhari, Managing Partner, and Jimit Patel, Senior Associate, both from the HealthXCapital team, will also transition to Jungle Ventures as part of this merger.
HealthXCapital has reportedly engaged with over 1,200 founders spanning various healthcare segments, encompassing home care, ambulatory care, insurtech, data sciences, and brain health.
Jungle Ventures specializes in investing in companies at the early- to growth stage across Southeast Asia and India. Among its notable portfolio companies are Moglix, Livspace, Builder.ai, and Atomberg. Despite its substantial $600 million fund, the firm has utilized less than half of this capital as of now.
In June, Jungle Ventures promoted Arpit Beri to the position of partner within the organization, and it is also planning to onboard additional senior talent in the coming months.
