Google for Startups Accelerator: India Invites AI-First Startups to Apply for the Eighth Cohort


Google for Startups Accelerator: India, a pioneering program by Google, is now accepting applications from AI-first startups in India for its eighth cohort. This three-month equity-free program is designed to empower tech startups leveraging AI/ML by providing access to Google’s top-notch programs, products, expertise, and technology.

Startups across various sectors are utilizing AI to develop innovative solutions, drive efficiency, create new market opportunities, and achieve more with less – and with generative AI, the potential opportunities are even greater.

NASSCOM identifies that AI startups in India face challenges concerning scalable infrastructure, lack of high-quality datasets, and frameworks revolving around data privacy and ethics. To address these challenges, Google partners with startups to help them build scalable and responsible AI solutions from the ground up.

The seventh class of the Google for Startups Accelerator program kicked off in June 2023 with 20 Seed to Series A startups. These startups are currently engaged with mentors and Google teams, working together to address their technical, product, and business challenges.

As we witness the AI landscape evolving rapidly, Google is committed to supporting the Indian startup ecosystem and harnessing the numerous possibilities AI presents. We encourage AI-first startups in India, between Seed to Series A stage, to apply for the eighth cohort of the Google for Startups Accelerator: India program.

Eligibility Criteria:

We are seeking Indian AI-first startups from diverse sectors that are striving to solve complex problems and tackle the toughest challenges in their respective industries. Startups meeting the following criteria are eligible to apply:

– Based in India

– AI-first startups leveraging AI in their core solution or product, including generative AI

– Preferably between Seed to Series A stages

Selected startups will gain access to hands-on mentorship and receive training on product, design, growth, and leadership development. The program culminates in a Demo Day, providing founders with increased visibility within the ecosystem. Even after the program concludes, the startups can continue to receive support through the Google for Startups alumni network.

Furthermore, entrepreneurs can join the weekly virtual open forums held every Friday, from 4-5 PM (IST) during the application phase to gather more insights and have their queries answered.
