Cement Manufacturers’ Association Elects New President and Vice President

The Cement Manufacturers’ Association (CMA), the apex body of India’s major cement manufacturers, held an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on July 14, during which Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director of Shree Cement Limited, was unanimously elected as the President of CMA. Parth Jindal, Managing Director of JSW Cement Limited, was also elected as the Vice President of CMA.
Akhoury takes over the position from K C Jhanwar, Managing Director of UltraTech Cement Limited. The members of CMA expressed their full confidence in the newly elected leadership team, endorsing the election of the President and Vice President.
CMA represents nearly 80% of the total installed cement capacity in India and serves as the apex body for large cement plants in the country.
