This significant investment, facilitated through a Bridge Round led by Inflection Point Ventures and Venture Catalysts, marks a pivotal moment for the company as it embarks on a journey of expansion and innovation.

Founded in July 2019 by Mr. Prem Rheja and Payal Raheja, The Betel Leaf Co aims to revolutionize the way people perceive and consume paan. With a vision of offering consistently high-quality products, the company has garnered widespread acclaim for its commitment to hygiene, freshness, and authenticity. The founders’ combined experience spans over four decades, bringing a wealth of knowledge in manufacturing, retail, branding, and distribution to the table.

The infusion of $1.2 million in funding will fuel Betel Leaf Co’s ambitious plans for growth and innovation. The company intends to expand its current retail and online presence from 45 kitchens to an impressive 100 kitchens in India and overseas within the next two years. Moreover, the investment will facilitate the development of cutting-edge automation technology, aimed at enhancing consistency, increasing production volume, and diversifying the product range.

One of the most exciting prospects on the horizon is the introduction of innovative products such as the ARID paan, boasting a remarkable nine-month shelf life, and a Digestive Innovative Tea crafted from pure Betel leaves. These offerings underscore Betel Leaf Co’s commitment to marrying tradition with technology, catering to modern consumer preferences while preserving the essence of a centuries-old tradition.
