Noida-based Agritech startup Arya.ag acquires agriculture data science firm Prakshep

On Thursday, Noida-based integrated grain commerce platform Arya.ag announced the acquisition of Prakshep, a Bengaluru-based agriculture data science firm, for an undisclosed price. Prakshep’s whole team would join Arya.ag as part of the agreement.
Arya.ag will provide cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities for farm digitization, crop monitoring, quality assaying, and surveillance as a result of this acquisition. It will also assist Arya.ag in strengthening its relationships with other agri-chain players such as FPOs, processors and corporates, banks, and insurance firms.
Arya.ag has developed a digital identity for over 10,000 warehouses throughout India on its platform, leveraging its technological stack, and has built transparency at all levels—from aggregation to storage, finance, and commerce.
Prasanna Rao, the co-founder and MD of Arya.ag said that through this purchase, Arya.ag will also boost the traceability and visibility of the product right from the farm’s location. Prakshep’s tech-driven solution is a logical match since it creates a digital identity for every grain that moves through the value chain and adds transparency to where it was cultivated and the trip it has taken. The shared principles of sustainability, climate-smart agriculture, and equitable economic growth have brought the firm together.
Arya.ag unites Agri product merchants and consumers, offering a total guarantee on quantity, quality, and payment. Prakshep, which was founded in 2016, will complement Arya.ag’s deep-tech expertise to provide traceability, transparency, and quality assurance for smooth commodities transactions. The Noida startup will now add an agricultural database, covering crop activities, health, and yield appraisal, to its current storage and grain value chain database.
