Industry Expert Ajit Kumar Joins Policybazaar’s Advisory Board for ‘PB for Business’

Policybazaar, a prominent insurance broker firm, has welcomed Ajit Kumar to its advisory board for the recently launched segment ‘PB for Business’. This announcement was made on July 31, 2023.
With an extensive background spanning over 35 years in the insurance sector, Kumar brings a wealth of experience to this role. Prior to this appointment, he held the position of General Manager at Oriental Insurance for nearly eight years. Before that, he dedicated thirty years of service to New India Assurance. Furthermore, he served as a Director on the board (via a Government appointment) for a subsidiary of Oriental Insurance.
Expressing enthusiasm about his new role, Kumar emphasized the significance of Business Insurance in India, an underpenetrated yet crucial market. He believes that platforms like PB for Business are essential and aims to contribute effectively to the industry through his advisory role.
In his advisory capacity, Kumar will collaborate with the existing team to enhance service standards for Startups, SMEs, and Corporates. His focus will be on providing guidance on critical processes, technical aspects, risk evaluation, and offering specialized advice on essential products for safeguarding against financial losses. Additionally, he will play a pivotal role in maintaining PB’s impressive growth trajectory over the last two years. Leveraging his expertise in health and general insurance, Kumar will drive expansion by further developing their digital end-to-end solutions and modernizing their platforms.
