The Whole Truth Raises $51M Series D Led by Sofina, Sauce.vc
Mumbai-based clean-label food brand The Whole Truth has secured $51 million (~Rs 416 crore) in a Series D funding round blending primary and secondary capital, led by Sofina and Sauce.vc with participation from Peak XV Partners, Rainmatter Health, AYRA Ventures, and early backers Z47.
Triple-Digit Growth Fuels IPO Path
The investment accelerates in-house manufacturing scale-up, working capital, and public-market readiness as FY25 revenue surged 232% to Rs 216 crore from Rs 65 crore, despite modest loss expansion to Rs 28 crore from category expansions like super-light protein powders targeting women, teens, and elderly segments.
Clean-Label Dominance in Premium Nutrition
Founded by Shashank Mehta, The Whole Truth commands leading market shares across protein snacks and nutrition through uncompromising ingredient transparency, positioning for profitability inflection. Sauce.vc’s Manu Chandra praised the team’s consumer trust rebuild, while Z47 highlighted disciplined execution from day zero – proving $51 million catapults clean eating into India’s mainstream grocery aisles ahead of public listing.
