In Mumbai, the Adani Group has formed a unit to establish a data center


Adani Firm, a port-to-energy conglomerate, has formed a new company to establish a data center in Mumbai, one of a half-dozen locations picked by billionaire Gautam Adani’s group to establish data centers first.

AdaniConnex Pvt Ltd, a 50:50 joint venture between Adani Enterprises and EdgeConnex Europe BV, formed a completely and utterly subsidiary Mumbai Data Center Ltd on February 4, according to a stock market filing by the Adani group entity.

Adani Enterprises Ltd announced a partnership with EdgeConneX, a major data center operator, in February 2021 to create one gigawatt (GW) of data center capacity over the following decade. The AdaniConneX joint venture will focus on developing a network of hyper-scale data centers in India, beginning in Chennai, Navi Mumbai, Noida, Visakhapatnam, and Hyderabad.
