Eupheus Learning, a B2B edtech business, has acquired SchoolMitra


Eupheus Learning, a business-to-business (B2B) edtech platform run by Proficiency Learning Solutions, said on Tuesday that it has acquired SchoolMitra, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider.

SchoolMitra’s school operating system (OS), according to Eupheus Learning, will provide access to its 20,000 schools.

SchoolMitra’s services, which were founded in 2013 by IIT grads Abhishek Kumar, Vivek Kumar, and Gurpreet Singh Narula, allow teachers to take a live class with integrated material while administrative tasks like attendance and report cards are automated.

The program also claims to assist customers in paying tuition online and tracking their child’s safe admission and exit from school. According to Amit Kapoor, Co-Founder and Director of Eupheus Learning , the business plans to make further acquisitions in the next six months and expects to be present in 3000-5000 schools by next year.

Edtech startup SchoolMitra

Eupheus Learning, a school-focused distribution platform aiming towards curricular approach, was founded in 2017 by Amit Kapoor, Sarvesh Shrivastava, and Ved Prakash Khatri. Eupheus Learning secured $4.1 million in Series B capital for local and worldwide development last year, backed by Kuwait-based United Education Company and Al Rayan Holding Company.

According to Kapoor, the business is in negotiations with investors to raise financing in March-April, a combination of stock and debt.

Eupheus Learning paid $19 million for ClassKlap, a student customization business, in an all-stock acquisition in September 2021. (approximately Rs 140 crore).
