Edusocio-tech startup XOOG raises $150K in its pre-seed round of funding


XOOG, a Bangalore-based Edusocio-tech space startup, has secured $150K in a pre-seed round from a group of institutional and private investors. Seetharaman Thiruvenkatam, Kavitha Seetharaman, Prasad Prabhakaran, and Prashanth Prabhakaran competed in the round. Marwari Catalysts, an existing investor, also participated in the round.

The company claims that the seed capital will be used to improve the value proposition by enhancing the ecosystem for talent showcasing and enrichment, onboard more users through performance marketing and growth hacking, expand their product engineering team, and accelerate product-led growth in order to expand its footprint in India and globally.

Karishma Seetharaman and Ritvik Raj Prasannakumar founded XOOG in 2020 with the goal of providing a Safe Social platform with skill clubs for kids to display, compete, and earn prizes.

Seetharaman, Co-founder and CTO of XOOG stated that XOOG allows students to demonstrate their abilities, daily learnings, successes, and development to the world, be rated by their peers, improve their future, and receive scholarships and awards in exchange. XOOG was chosen from 500 businesses in the accelerator’s cohort programme, Thrive, by the Marwari Catalysts.

Sushil Kumar, the founder and CEO of Marwari Catalysts said that firm believes in XOOG’s vision and is optimistic about the ed-tech sector, the strategy, the product, and, most importantly, the execution team to make XOOG a popular brand for talent identification and enrichment in the future.
