BharatPe Launches Innovative Android Point-of-Sale Terminal for Streamlined Digital Payments

BharatPe, a prominent fintech firm in India, has introduced an advanced Android point-of-sale (PoS) terminal named BharatPeSwipe Android. This cutting-edge device offers diverse modes of digital payment acceptance, encompassing debit/credit cards, UPI, mobile wallets, and QR codes, making it a versatile and effective solution suitable for merchants of all scales.
The BharatPeSwipe Android is designed for easy setup and utilization. Merchants can effortlessly download the BharatPe app on their Android smartphone or tablet and seamlessly pair it with the PoS machine. This straightforward process enables merchants to promptly commence accepting payments.
Operated by Android 10 operating system, the new device features a 5.5-inch HD touch screen, a long-lasting battery with fast charging capabilities, and compatibility with both 4G and Wi-Fi for enhanced connectivity. Integrated with the BharatPe merchant app, this PoS solution offers a user-friendly interface that ensures instant settlements and streamlined transaction reconciliation across BharatPe QR and BharatPe Swipe platforms.
Merchants utilizing BharatPeSwipe Android can also facilitate QR payments through dynamically generated QR codes on the device and produce physical receipts for completed QR transactions, according to the company.
Nalin Negi, CFO and interim CEO of BharatPe, stated, “The latest addition to our product suite is a powerful yet simple-to-use device that will further enable our merchants to offer their customers a seamless and secure payment experience. It aims to cater to a wide range of merchants across segments including the small merchant.”
The merchant dashboard integrated into the device enables efficient transaction and settlement management, offering customization based on the merchant’s requirements. Additionally, BharatPe will offer its merchants an option to upgrade from the Linux-based POS to the new Android POS device.
The launch of BharatPeSwipe Android signifies the company’s intent to double its POS network count within the next year. Having previously introduced Linux-based POS devices in 2020, BharatPe already boasts a network exceeding 200,000 POS machines spread across more than 400 cities.
