Ayoken raises $1.4M to grow its NFT marketplace for creatives


Ayoken, which is an NFT marketplace for creative enthusiasts, raised $1.4M  in the pre-seed funding round. It will feature digital collectibles from influencers, sports brand, musicians from over the world. Through this platform fans will have access to token of behind the scenes videos or album art 

The founder,Joshua King believes that the marketplace is a bridge between fans and artists and it gives aid to the fans and well-wishers an authority or a sense of ownership in the success of their idols.

What makes this platform different is the sponsorships and distribution partners of this marketplace. YouTubers, newsletters, crypto exchanges will help promote this platform and tap a wider audience, they will get a revenue based on the transaction generated on their social media promotions. For gaining views or an audience the person does not need access to followings in social media, they would get access to millions of people at the tap of a button.There’s also a marketing agency to help the influencers

Ayoken, which is headquartered in London, has partnered with Ghanaian afrobeats artist KiDi. With funds raised by investors like Founders Factory Africa,Kon Ventures,Crypto League and Maximus ventures, the platform plans to sign exclusive deals with artists and partnerships with telcos. The cross chain marketplace allows crypto and card payments but is planning to add mobile money so that people in emerging markets like Africa can trade with ease.

A majority of the funding will be invested in buying licenses and into building the tech team, that is the developers and engineers by fourfold.

The founder said that “We are reducing friction points for the users by letting people use their cards instead of having to use crypto to buy, we are working on partnerships with telcos that will allow people to use mobile money to make the payment in future too. Nothing comes close to what we are doing and that is why we are able to sign some of the biggest names in the creative industry.”
