About $110 Mn snagged by Nexus-backed Apollo.io in Series C


A business-to-business (B2B) sales and intelligence and engagement platform, Apollo.io, in a Series C funding round led by Sequoia Capital has raised about  $110 million. Apollo.io said in a statement that Tribe Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, and NewView Capital are our existing investors who alsoinvested in the round. 

The company has raised over $150 million with the latest funding, so far. Adding further it stated that Apollo.io being operated by Zenleads, Inc, will use the fresh capital to ramp up its investment in product and engineering by around 300%. The funding will also be used for hiring, marketing, and sales purposes, said Tim Zheng, co-founder and CEO, Apollo.io.

Founded in 2015, Apollo.io’s was founded in the year 2015. A B2B contact database with information on over 220 million buyers is included in this platform. It also helps the sales teams automate their workflows and outreach. The Series C funding of Apollo.io came just after a month when it raised $32 million in a Series B funding round led by Tribe Capital in November the previous year..

Since the Series B funding round, the paid customer base of the company has increased by nearly 60% to over 15,000 paying customers, say Apollo.io. It further added that in the past 12 months, the company’s annual recurring revenue (ARR) has grown nearly three times.
